Frost Fire Spring Turkey Hunting Trips

Frost Fire Spring Turkey Hunting Trips
Is there anything more exciting than listening to the clarion call of a gobbler on a crisp spring morning? Probably not, especially after a long north country winter. While northern New Hampshire and Vermont are not typically known for excellent wild turkey habitat, it appears as though our flock of birds has benefitted from milder winters recently and an abundance of cover. The population is healthy and is perhaps a bit more susceptible to proficient calling than in more pressured parts of the state.
We offer full day (eight hour) spring wild turkey hunting trips, May 1 to May 31. The areas that we hunt are primarily a combination of agricultural field edges and along some of the timber country roads in northern New Hampshire and the North East Kingdom of Vermont. While the terrain that we hunt is generally not too challenging, there can be areas of cover with elevation changes that can be difficult for older clients.

We do not utilize blinds for our hunts. Bringing a "turkey lounger" vest with a comfortable seat pad is a must, as we sit and wait for birds to draw close. Hunts include snacks and drinks. Let us know what works best for you and we'll make it happen. If you have any questions or our recommendations for enjoying a spring wild turkey hunt, please visit our
