VT Grouse Hunting Update: 10/26
Things are still cooking up here on the hunting front. Monty took me out for a few hours in VT yesterday afternoon, and we managed to harass a dozen grouse and two woodcock as well.

NH Grouse Hunting Update: 10/23
What distinguishes this group from all others is that they are dedicated connoisseurs of the 28 gauge, and after hunting with them now for a few years, I can attest to this gun’s ability.

NH Grouse Hunting Update: 10/18
I will preface this next post with the fact that I am a dedicated “pointing dog grouse hunter”, simply meaning that I am most comfortable with the pace and tendencies that pointing dogs display while in the woods. NH Grouse Hunting Update: 10/25
Sometimes it’s good to find new ways to approach our pursuits. Occasionally it gives us a different perspective that we can then bring with us the next time we’re out in the woods chasing grouse. There can never be enough methods to try to catch Mr. Partridge napping, so I learned yet another lesson in hunting over flushers for a few days last weekend.
