2019 Grouse hunting Highlights
It's feeling more and more like autumn in northern New Hampshire lately - 56 degrees today as I write this, and a much needed change in the weather and, thankfully, no more humidity. While summer is a short and sweet season up here, fall seems even shorter at times, and becomes an even more treasured part of our memory banks on those especially beautiful days.
Training sessions continue for my pack, and with the cooling temperatures, we hope to be out in the woods more in the coming month. Bird numbers are rumored to be good from some of my various contacts, and this has been verified in the sessions we've had out there.
Still, we won't know for sure until October 1 hits, and then the season changes very fast as you all know. A remembrance of last year's exploits (a long time ago, given the state of things today?) is below.
